Fall Colors (Fall ID Fly Fishing)

Moyie River Canyons - October 2014
Thought I would share some recent float photos with you. The fly fishing in Idaho has been unusually good this year. It has been a slightly longer summer and dry. Hoppers have finally come back and hatches exceptionally good. Needless to say foam terrestrials like the YSF Stinger & YSF Nuclear Ant and smaller mayflies like the Adams, BWO and Purple Haze have been killers. Some really good fish also on large, particularly large olive streamers like the YSF Assam Dragon.

Enjoy the photos, and beginning planning your next Idaho fly fishing trip for next year soon. Actually, I'm hoping to get in a few warm afternoons before the snows come so I can do a little more streamer fishing this season.

Enjoy Idaho Fly Fishing. Hard takes on your flies often.
