Used to; but no longer. I have tried numerous fly fishing Idaho (and elsewhere) visual aids, but finally decided to improvise. My last pair of polarized fishing glasses had a magnifier built in to the bottom edge of the frames but the focal length no longer suited my purpose. In other words--I was becoming more visually impaired (blind). So, what does one do?

I made my own. Using a pair of dark tinted, polarized Cocoons®, it was easy to add on a pair of ThinOptics® plastic, flexible magnifiers by simply supergluing them to the nasal bridge as shown. I now have some very functional, polarized fly fishing glasses with lateral sun screens which you can even wear over your prescription glasses if desired. I can even tie on #22 flies.

The ThinOptics® magnifiers you can buy online for $19.95. The later comes with a spare pair and have a very thin case which can be attached to the back of your cell phone case. The super glue I prefer for attaching the magnifiers to the sunglasses, and also use on my flies from time to time, is Loctite®. PS-the Cocoons® also have a really nice carrying case as well which can clip to your pants, Idaho fly fishing vest or Idaho fly fishing chest pack.

These really are great polarized sunglasses for the physically challenged that fly fish. Try them. You will not be disappointed. Hard takes, tight lines and huge fish to you always. Come and fly fish Idaho this summer.

PS - In my opinion, glasses such as these have magnifiers which are too small.-->
